Three Weeks.........

I feel like it has been so long since I have written. A couple of things have contributed to this. 1 - I am so consumed by watching and being with you all day that I cannot bring myself to write. 2 - you and I have both been sick with bad colds. We spent three days this week in bed. 3 - we are in the middle of a move and I have been trying to get the house in order for moving next weekend - not easy with an infant.

You are three weeks old today - I can't believe it! You seem SO much older and like you have been with us forever. You are getting so big. A week ago at your doctors appointment you were almost 10 lbs. and had grown almost a whole inch. I am trying to circulate all of your 0-3 ,mth clothes before you outgrow them - which I am sure will be soon. I did an online calculator this week that is supposed to predict how tall you will be - it says you should be 5'7 - that would be nice..... Maybe you will be Miss America afterall!

You have started being awake more during the day. We have tummy time to strengthen your muscles and we lay on your mat and look at colors. I try to talk to you whenever I can and try to teach you as much spanish as I know. When I talk about your hands I also say your manos so you can be bilingual. I also sing the ABC's to you daily - thinking maybe if you hear this over and over you will know them by the age of 1. I am keeping my fingers crossed!

Yesterday was our first big day out. You and I had been so cooped up all week that I broke my no taking you out before you were 1 month old rule and took you out on the town. We went to Babies R Us to buy a stroller that both you and AJ can ride in. I then tried to go to Target thinking I would have a little while before you would wake up and feed. Right in the middle of Target you woke up and started SCREAMING. I had to check out really fast, throw you in the car and drive to a remote section in the lot to feed you. We then went walking around Park Street and to Safeway and then last night you stayed with Grandma, Grandpa, Great Uncle Dave & Great Aunt Veronica while Daddy and I went out to dinner. It was so nice and you were a perfect angel for everyone. We went to Kinkaids at Jack London Square. You are SUCH a good baby - the most perfect baby. You are so happy and love looking around and love it when people talk. One thing about you is you are the most FARTY little girl I have ever seen - you pass SOOOOOOOO much gas - big girl farts. They are very cute!

Tomorrow we are going to take you to church to find out about getting you baptised. We need to do it soon so you fit into the dress that Auntie Colleen and Great Auntie Paula wore.

You are sleeping on my chest right now in the Baby Bjorn. When you sleep sometimes you have this little dreams and you let out this little cry - I feel so bad for you when that happens. I wonder what you are dreaming.

You are becoming a daddy's girl already - you love hanging out with him. I love that!

I love you "My Love" as I call you. You are more amazing than I ever imagined. Being your mommy has felt so natural to me.........
